Standing near the window a lone girl stood, her white creature standing beside her as she looked out into the city. The New Truth Tower was higher then any building in town, reaching to the sky and as their leader said almost to the sky. Smiling a bit the girl wrapped her fingers around a small white amulet she wore, her blue eyes scanning the world below as her creature stood beside her, unmoving. "Anything wrong Master?" the creature asked, it's mouth non-moving, but open so that it could speak. "No...Nothing is wrong my sweet...I'm just...Looking.." the girl smiled as her pale arms fell to her sides once more. The creature turned to her, sniffing the air with it's deer like black nose. "Don't worry Serenity...I'm just taking in the moment..." the girl smiled again before pulling back her hood, a waterfall of pure white hair tumbling down to meet her back. Dawn Truth was one of the special caretakers of Serenity, a unicorn like creature who had hatched over 10 years ago. Her first master had died, leaving the poor creature to wonder until Dawn came along and took her has her own. From then on both became very good partners and friends. At 21 years Dawn took care of Serenity as Serenity took care of her, the young Uniglory still had a lot to learn. Her mane like fur was a mix of black and white, her large horn jutting out of her forehead was sharper then any needle.
"You tired?" Serenity asked softly, Dawn only shrugging as she watched a couple birds fly passed. She wore her normal brown dress with robe hood attached to the back, usually going no were without it. "I'm just...Happy..." Dawn smiled as she placed a hand on the creautre's nose and rubbed it softly.

"Do you have ANY idea of where we are going?" a voice rumbled, golden eyes narrowing towards the boy in front of him. "Of course I do~" the sixteen year old spoke happily, grinning, hands shoved into his pockets as he lead the way up the stairs. Short brown hair, cropped short enough where it was mostly fuzz rather than a head of hair. The huge lion like creature behind the boy let his voice rumble once more, it echoing off through the hall way, it looking far wiser and more... stable and ground steady than the carefree boy in front of it. "Pray tell then," it went on, huge head swinging slightly from side to side, looking around their stair case, the same spiral staircase that they'd been walking up for the past fifteen minutes. "Where ARE we going?"
"Up!"
Oh how the lion sometimes just wanted to pounce on the boy and give him a good whacking, hoping he'd hit some sense into that thick head of his. Of course, at the same time, the lion, being as down to earth as he was, knew that the young man still had a lot to learn on his own, and that beating him would probably end up making him more... unstable. "Up!" the creature scoffed, small lion ears falling against it's head. "UP! We've been going up every tower around here for days, Anthony, DAYS! If you'd just stop to ask someone for-" "Really, Magnar. Just... walk. Cool it and stop thinking once in a while, eh?" Anthony mumbled, rolling his chocolate colored eyes as the creature behind him continued to talk and complain, saying they were going in the wrong direction and that he needed to stop and talk and... just all sorts of things. He never did have a shut off switch for his brain, and sometimes, it could get annoying.
But, the young male supposed that he was used to it. After all, the lion, Magnar, had known him all his life. Anthony, when he was only a little tyke, had managed to grab onto an egg when he could barely walk, from his father, whom never really did pay too much attention to the boy. And taking said brown egg into his hands, the boy had watched it hatch, curiously, for him, and ended up with a lifelong partner, determined to try and teach him the ways of the world that his parents, who were never home, could not. Thus is the reason that he never did get into trouble for stealing the egg. Of course, this whole 'teaching' business was rather difficult for poor Magnar. The boy's attention span was about the size of a fly's. And unless something changed a lot in his learning, no style would stick with him and he'd easily forget his teachings. So basically, everything had to be colorful and loud. Which highly annoyed the older lion, who loved the peace and quiet. But it was his duty to teach, and therefore, for fourteen years, had sucked it up most of the time, only losing his temper once or twice and scaring the living shit out of the poor boy.
And as warm golden eyes watched the boy fondly, they did happen to sigh in weariness. Closing those yellow orbs, the lion walked after the boy, listening to his footsteps and following his scent, wanting to take his advice and rest his mind at least a little bit on their never ending journey for a library that the boy gave his liking to. And why all of this? Just because the library in the New Haven's city was too small to hold all the old books that he liked. Once again, the lion sighed with weariness, his mind tired, as he followed the young man. Anthony, on the other hand, did no more than grin at him, turning around once or twice to pause and wait, giving him a pat or pet on the head, or even a scritch behind his ears, where he knew Magnar liked it. Of course, there were some instances where he could sense that he highly annoyed the lion that took care of him, but at the same time, whenever he asked, the answer he always got back was that everything was fine and it was just tiring, their wandering around town for things. Anthony couldn't help it, though; he had a knack to wander, he couldn't keep still for his life. He liked, yet hated change. It just depended on the situation and his mood about it.
Like his search for the library; Anthony loved to read, and thus, when his library grew too small, he'd decided to search for a new one. That's how they ended up here, in one of the high towers in New Truth. Happy that he'd had just enough money to get through the gates, he'd lead Magnar all over town, running from one place to the next, searching, ever looking for that library that would make him happy. Was he simple minded? Yes. Even quite... idiotic at times. But those were the times that he was happy; he /chose/ to act like that. Why worry in life when you could have fun instead? "Live life with no regrets," he'd often say, "Love like there's no tomorrow, look to the future, and never think about the past. What's done is done, and there's no changing it."
As the young teen let his mind wander, brown eyes still searching for a door that looked good, he wandered faster up the stairs, sensing something close by. Was it a library? Who knew, but they'd find out soon enough. Trotting up to one of the few doors against a small break in the stair case, Tony's hand pushed lightly against the handle, turning it and swinging the door inwards. And since his mind was wandering, he'd not really heard the voices beyond the door. Standing in the doorway, though, blinking slightly at the sight of two people, one human and another a... unicorn-y thing, he gave a confused look, before he felt himself being tugged backwards by his shirt, Magnar pulling him back, glancing past him every once in a while to mutter an apology.
[[ I got carried away in my writing, sorry. >.> ]]

(WOW! I wish I could make up a reply that though XD)
Dawn like usual was in her own mind, her thoughts mixed as she leaned on the pole in front of the window. Somehow this place had always cleared her mind and she loved it, this place seemed like her own. Sighing softly Dawn closed her eyes, just the thought of being this high up in the air gave her a rush of thrill. Dawn liked the sky, it's cloud and rain and the sun which usually beat down almost all the time. What was more was that Dawn knew that flight wasn't truly impossible anymore, main of the scientist have already invented flying cars or bikes so one could reach the sky without having to fall first. "Dawn?" the soft voice whispered, pulling Dawn from her dream state and back to the world that was. "Yes Serenity?" she asked softly, glancing down at the Uinglory before she smiled. "Well...Shouldn't we be going now?" the small creature asked, stepping from one hoof to the next before nudging her head to the siding of the wall. "Just because...I always get a bit....High sick from being up here to long..." the creature mumbled off a bit before Dawn started to giggle, tossing her arms around the creature's furry mane like neck before she gave it's nose a kiss. "Alright Serenity we are leaving..." Dawn stood again brushing off her dress before turning and stopping.
The boy with a lion like creature stared back, both looking strait at one another before Dawn giggled and started for the stairs "Are you lost?" she asked, her small deer like creatures following behind her as she reached the stairs "your probably looking for the library right? Oh it's this way!" Dawn smiled as she took the boys hand, feeling in a good mood today so she wasn't her usual shyness. Feeling the hand of another human gave Dawn a slight blush, though she ignored it and pulled the male toward the room which held the book. Serenity quickly followed behind them, giving a nod to the other creature before he quickly trotted after her master. "Dawn! Wait up!" Serenity called before the girl stopped, gently letting go of the boys hand as she pushed open the doors. "Here it is..." Dawn smiled as she motioned her hand. Books upon books lined the shelves, the library the only one around within miles. Books of old and passed events look well used and spent, some even held together with tape or glue. "Make sure not to drop or hurt any books...Old Mister Hansom will get his hands on you and never let you go..." she giggled softly again, placing a hand on top of her Uniglory's head. "By the way my name is Dawn...This is Serenity...If your wondering shes a Uniglory....A very rare breed of monsters..." Dawn gently patted the top of her creatures head and smiling looked back to the boy, wondering what he would say.

[[ xP Nah, it's nothing really. My reply lengths can fluctuate like that. Big and small and big and small again. :3 ]]
The boy gulped as he was giggled at, scrunching his nose slightly, feeling his ears go red with a slight embarrassment. He was, to say the least, not much of a people person, and was easily flustered, especially if who he was dealing with was a female. ANY female, young or old or inbetween. He did, though, perk up a bit when she asked him if he was lost, nodding in hopes that she'd be able to help, at least a little. Just to point in the right direction or something. Neither Anthony, nor Magnar expected the girl to randomly come up and grab him, dragging him away. This act made not only the poor boy's ears, but his face become a bit... well, red. He didn't pull away, though, feeling that would be... impolite, seeing as she was the one that was leading him towards the library. Human contact wasn't something he was used to, so it was often uncomfortable, but seeing as one, she was a female, and two, she was helping him, the least he could do was let her get to where they were going, yeah?
Magnar, looking quite confused for a moment, the boy's reaction not seeming like something that he'd do, had paused, just watching them, until the Uniglory passed him, nodding. His golden eyes went wide for a moment, before he shook his head and padded along, up to follow his partner and their new... uh, 'friend'. Magnar was a bit, though, proud that, for once, the young male hadn't lashed out at someone for touching him or grabbing him or whatever. Once they were up in front of the door, though, his pride dwindled back down to what it was when traveling up the stairs.
"HA!" Anthony said, grinning, chest puffing out slightly as he turned towards Magnar, who was already rolling his eyes. "I TOLD you it was here!" The lion did no more than shake his head and flick his head, turning towards Dawn as the young male had run off into the book, seeming to not have heard a word of what the girl had said.
"I'm sorry about him. Anthony is... well, he can seem... special sometimes. In a good way," he said, the last sentence being a bit quick, as if to assure that the boy wasn't stupid or anything. "He's just got no attention span," Magnar continued to explain. "But he's good at heart. I'm Magnar, and the crazy one that just ran off is called Anthony. He's been searching for a good library for a while, so... I suppose it's kind of an excuse as to why he rushed away like that. You may go and yell at him if you'd like." Smiling warmly at the pair, he nodded his huge head as if to say 'come' and padded away after his partner, wondering were he was. He knew that the boy liked books, but enough to just ditch him and the girl without saying so much as a 'thank you'? Well he was going to change that, whether or not the girl followed him. He was going to drag that boy back and MAKE him apologize before thanking her. After all, she didn't even know them when she helped them. "That stupid boy..." he grumbled under his breath, spotting him already up on a ladder, piling his stack of books high.

"Wow, it looks like we really are lost huh?" Meric asked, smiling to the otter-like creature that was hanging off his shoulder. He hadn't been to this part of the towers before, and thought that it would be fun to see what was up here. He had gotten lost before, but not it was like he didn't even know which way was up anymore. "Hey...I think I hear voices. That way." Cora said, pointing her paw up the stairs. "Let's hope you're right." Meric replied, jogging up the numerous stairs in his way. He had just spent the last few minutes walking into random rooms, and had gotten on the nerves of quite a few people, but his kind demeanor quickly dissolved the situation. "Hey...hey I think you're right!" Meric said happily, picking up speed as he started hearing people speaking as well. He finally made it to the top, but tripped and landed face first in front of the group of people and monsters. "Ouch...hey, I finally found someone!" he said, standing up and dusting off his trousers. "It's about time too." Cora said, having jumped off Meric as he fell so her fur wouldn't get dirty.

"Are you sure Hinagi?" Asked a quiet voice as the sound of claws clacked against the surface of the marble floor. The large wolf that carried the young girl on it's back simply bumed in answer. "Okay, okay." She said with a smile as the girl touched the alabaster white fur of the wolves neck. Touches of gold ran through the pelt of the monster but at the very nape of it's neck the girl who rode it had braided in white feathers. The girl matched her monster almost perfectly, with white hair of her own and chocolate brown eyes, Hikari was her name. Reaching up the girl placed a hand on the fans she kept hidden in her sleeves the kimono that she wore. Laying against her monster the girl breathed in slowly, feeling very safe for the moment until she heard the squeeking of a door and entered another room that seemed more like a library. "Where's this?" Hikari whispered as Hinagi, the Holy Howl shook it's fur, ruffling the rainbow like tattoo that decorated it's right eye. Hikari jumped down but kept a firm hold of her monsters fur, for Hinagi stood as tall as her master which gave Hikari the pleasure of ridding around of the wolf's back.

Shrugging Dawn was used to people shaking her off and so she didn't mind it to much. Sighing softly she waved to the lion and replied "No it's alright...Let the boy read...I'm fine truely..." Dawn shook her head before turning to the boy who had fallen face down, Serenity looking at the boy as well and snorting. "Silly creatures male humans are..." she answered as her tail flicked back and forth. Chuckling softly, though it sounded more like a giggle Dawn leaned down and watched the boy before standing back up "It seems the floor likes you.." she said with a smile, placing a hand on top of the UniGlory's head. "Be careful next time...You might hit your head on something hard.." she pointed to the flooring and giggled softly again, glancing at the white wolf and the master on its back which entered. "Are you two lost as well?" Dawn asked before turning back to the male and smiling "I'm sorry...My name is Dawn and this is Serenity.." she patted her monsters head and smiled "I haven't seen you before..."

"Uh," Hikari suddnely got a red flush across her face and pulled herself closer to the white fur of Hinagi who looked back and gave an encouraging whine. "Thank's girl." She whispered and patted the wolf's snout. Hikari smiled a bit and moved up to stand next to her monster, staying very aware of the weapons she possesed. For Hikari would rather battle a monster herself, than put her beloved Holy Howl, her Hinagi in danger. "Yes." She stated shyly, her brown eyes shinning as she looked down to the poor boy who'd seemed to have lost his balance. Hinagi shook her fur once more and touched the tip of it's nose to Hikari's cheek, reminding her master that she was there for her.

Jamie walked along the street feeling the ground sake under his feet a little. "Rest easy Quaker its peaceful for the monemet so sleep." He said as his monster followed him Quaker could sleep could follow Jamie by his footsteps and by sect. Jamie fell to a knee as he felt hunger claw at him. "I need food." He said as he reached into his pocket and dug out a smoke and lighter. Jamie fired his smoke and took a long dragg on it and let out a puff of smoke.

Looking to the female Dawn smiled and touched the tip of Serenity's horn before saying "Well if you need help finding a place you can ask me for help...I love helping..." Dawn tilted her head and smiled a bit before adding "Your HolyHowl is very lovely...May I know...Its name..." she didn't know if it was a boy or a girl creature. Serenity huffed and walked over to the new trainers, sniffing the nose of the other creature before saying softly "Sorry...My master isn't usually this silly...." she glanced back the girl as Dawn made a face and sighed "Is there any place you wish to find?"

Hikari smiled slightly, this girl didn't seem so bad, all though her monster was a little odd looking to her. "Her name is Hinagi." Hikari chirped as the Holy Howl lowered it's head to sniff the other monster who had apprched. "It's a Uniglory right?" Hikari asked as Hinagi lifted it's head and snorted, shaking it's fur again. Hikari lifted her hand and placed it back on Hinagi's massive head to scratch behind the wolf's ear.

"Yes that's my Uniglory...Her name is Serenity..." Dawn smiled as her creature touched noses with the HolyHowl, sniffing the large beast before trotting back to her owner. "Yours is a Holyhowl right? Lovely beast...I always thought them something of true New Truth worth..." Dawn smiled, seeing the boys had gone off by themselves. "Would you like to walk with me? I was headed toward the food court...But if want to go someone else that's fine with me."

"um..." Hikari hesitated to anwser, shy as always before Hinagi nuddged the girl gently in encouragement. Hikari smiled as the Holy Howl lowered it's body just enough so it's master could jump on it's back. "I am kind of hungry." Hikari said with a smile as the massive white wolf took a step toward the other girl. "My names Hikari by the way." She whispered as a light flush of red crossed the girls pale face.

"Nice to met you Hikari my name is Dawn.." the girl smiled and patted the top of her Uniglory's head. "Hungry? Well come on I'll take you to the food court..." Dawn giggled softly and started down the hallway. "Come on it's not that far..." she smiled brightly before letting Serenity trot on ahead, knowing she probably wouldn't go very far.

Jamie sat down at out of the tables at the food court. It took some mindless wondeing but he did find a place to get some food. For both his monester and himself. Jamie's eyes looked around the place. There were some people about but nt many. Jamie took out and fired anouther smoke.
